A 10 YEAR JOURNEY
OF SUCCESSES, FAILURES, AND LEARNING EXPERIENCES
My very first cosplay:
Ryuutaro from the band Plastic Tree.
(This costume was thrifted and thrown together)
My first thrifted costume with hand-made props and accessories.
My father helped me with the paper mâché mask, the fur was repurposes from a thrifted coat, and the spear was made by a friend from real metal and wood.
My first set of armor, crafted from 2mm foam and EVA foam floor mats.
This was my very first set of armor. I was inspired to give foam armor a shot after seeing ItsRainingNeon's Demon Hunter.
THIS COSTUME FELL APART THE FIRST TIME I WORE IT, IT WAS A HUGE LEARNING EXPERIENCE!
My first set of armor using Worbla (thermoplastic) and foam. This is still my favorite costume I've made.
This armor took over 700 hours of work over the course of 4-5 months. Everything on this costume was hand-made, including the bodysuit, a trend I would continue with most all future costumes.
My most recently completed costume, and by far one of the most technically challenging I've made.
Geralt required over 1200 rings to be connected to form the chainmail for his jacket. The swords were made from oak and poplar with resin-cast pommels and details.
